Catalog description

Introduces students to health promotion and disease prevention strategies for adults in community/residential settings (non-acute care). Students apply hands-on physical assessment knowledge and skills, utilize technical skills, and practice communication skills between clients, peers, faculty, and other healthcare team members. Knowledge and concepts from NURS 241 will be applied in the clinical setting. Applied learning will also occur in the Simulation Center. Offered by Nursing . Limited to two attempts.
