Catalog description

This course is designed to solidify and review jazz fundamentals in performance for Graduate students. Students will analyze, discuss, and compose melodic lines in the style of Jazz. Students will be required to perform jazz standards from memory and execute various idiomatic exercises. For DMA students, the course requires a significant paper demonstrating pedagogical and/or analytical research. Offered by Dewberry School of Music . May not be repeated for credit.
