Summer Jazz Intensive. 2 credits

Catalog description

Participants will explore improvisation, expand their theory knowledge, and participate in ensembles while learning valuable pedagogical tools along the way. The course will run for one week over the summer (8 hours/day for five days). The MJI is ideal for K-12 educators and private instructors who wish to gain additional experience in jazz and grow professionally. Offered by Dewberry School of Music . May be repeated within the degree for a maximum 6 credits.
