Catalog description

The goal for this course is to train students in the technical skills needed to write music for a wide variety of visual media. We will discuss the differences in scoring for narrative film, documentaries, advertising, and video games. Discussions will also revolve around scoring history, genre, and issues surrounding the collaboration of composers and visual artists. Students will work on a variety of scoring projects to exercise their skills and explore working in different mediums. Offered by Dewberry School of Music . Limited to three attempts.
