Catalog description

This course will provide students with an understanding of the principles of business analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) from data ethics to data-driven decision making. To this end, the course connects analytical methods and recent developments in AI to fundamental business problems facing organizations. Some of the current applications of business analytics and AI will be examined. The legal, ethical, moral, and social issues surrounding the collection and analysis of data will be discussed. The course will emphasize trustworthy and ethical use of AI in analytics. Lastly, the course explores how to implement processes and practices to incorporate data ethics and utilize communication skills to better inform business decisions with business analytics and AI. Offered by Costello College of Business . May not be repeated for credit.
