Catalog description

An advanced thermodynamics course for graduate students in engineering, incorporating both classical and statistical thermodynamics. Explores the origins of thermodynamic parameters and equations such as equations of state, heat capacities, and Maxwell Relations. Students develop the ability to apply these principles to challenges in modern engineering research in fields such as molecular simulation, materials, biotechnology, and mechanics.
