Catalog description

Many flows in nature behave very differently than air or water. Such flows may possess elasticity, or may have complex viscosities. Examples include blood, corn starch solutions, and solutions of high molecular weight polymers. This course will introduce the students to the theoretical methods that are needed to model the behavior of such viscoelastic fluids. Offered by Mechanical Engineering . May not be repeated for credit.
