Foundational overview to managerial accounting. The course begins with a review of cost concepts and behavior, cost assignment and allocation methods, and the use of such concepts and methods for tactical and strategic decision-making. Traditional performance evaluation approaches are reviewed and contemporary developments in accounting for planning, control and decentralized management are explored.
