In this class, we will focus on some of the most important federal criminal offenses, with particular attention to issues relating to the evidence needed to satisfy the elements of such crimes. While there are far fewer federal criminal cases filed each year than those filed by state and local prosecutors, federal criminal law plays an important role in the ecosystem of American criminal law enforcement. The objective of this class is to familiarize students with major parts of the U.S. criminal code, and to teach students how to analyze the requirements of other federal criminal offenses.Offered by Law.
