This course focuses on the adjudication of cases by federal agencies and Administrative Law Judges. Students will receive an overview of general administrative law principles before moving on to agency-specific processes, to include Medicare, Social Security, and the DEA. The course will explore how different federal agencies use their regulatory and rulemaking powers to affect preferred public policy. Students will evaluate administrative records to prepare a legally defensible decision and understand how that decision will be evaluated for legal sufficiency.Offered by Law.
