Catalog description

This course explores core cybersecurity and AI concepts and tools through case studies, simulations, and expert-led instruction. Students will learn about cyber risk management frameworks and how organizations use them to think about, prioritize, and mitigate risk, as well the role of data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across an organization. Key topics also include data privacy, regulatory compliance, and the ethical implications of emerging technologies. Following the course, students will be able to provide direct cybersecurity support to vulnerable organizations in their local communities. This course is a prerequisite to the NSI CTC Cybersecurity and AI Clinic. Students enrolling in this course must commit to take the NSI CTC Cybersecurity and AI Clinic in the Spring.Offered by Law. May not be repeated for credit.
