Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the theory and practice of statutory interpretation. This course begins with an examination of the process by which statutes are generated and the application of economic analysis to that process. The remainder of the course considers the implications of this analysis for a variety of legal issues arising in the interpretation and implementation of statutes, especially the principles and techniques of statutory construction.Offered by Law. May not be repeated for credit.
