Catalog description

This course will outline the fundamental pillars of an Ethics and Compliance program, examining how the relevant elements fall within the context of international and domestic legislation including the U.S. Anti-kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Stark Law, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and UK Bribery Act. Landmark cases will be referred to throughout classes as real life examples demonstrating the operationalization of Compliance, as well as real world Compliance failures and associated root causes. The classes will contain interactive elements for students to be immersed in topical Compliance analysis affecting today’s Compliance practitioners and will assist students pursuing legal careers in understanding the interrelationship of Legal and Compliance functions.Offered by Law.
