Catalog description

This course is intended to introduce students to the concept and principles of information security risk management, with application to organizational operations (including mission, functions, image, reputation), organizational assets, and individuals. As an introductory risk management course, it will cover technical concepts as well as foundational managerial and policy topics. The purpose of the course lectures, assignments, reading, in-class presentations, and examinations are to ensure students have sufficient technical awareness and operational knowledge that will enable them to apply information security policy and risk management in real-life situations.
