Uses economic tools to illuminate the healthcare delivery and financing systems in the US. Explores the production of and demand for health, health care, and health insurance, and how incentives affect choices. Focuses on the US but also draws examples from other countries, since health economics principles apply everywhere, even though values, resources, priorities and constraints vary.
