Catalog description

Examines how quality in healthcare is measured and controlled in order to improve processes and outcomes. Demonstrates how interdisciplinary teams analyze quality by applying a variety of quantitative methods (such as statistical process control, histograms, and Pareto charts); and qualitative methods (such as root cause analysis, affinity diagrams, nominal group technique, and flow charts). Analyzes performance improvement techniques designed to improve processes. Offered by Hlth Admin, Policy/Informatics . May not be repeated for credit.
