Catalog description

Examines how quality in healthcare is measured and evaluated to improve processes and outcomes. Demonstrates how interdisciplinary teams analyze quality by applying a variety of quantitative methods (such as statistical process control, histograms, and Pareto charts); and qualitative methods (such as root cause analysis, affinity diagrams, nominal group technique, and flow charts). Analyzes performance improvement techniques designed to improve processes. Introduces applied evaluation methods for real world patient quality improvement efforts that seek to implement evidence-based healthcare. Offered by Hlth Admin, Policy/Informatics .
