Catalog description
Survey course in leadership, management, and planning applied to public health systems. Students apply theoretical knowledge from a variety of disciplines relevant to development and implementation of public health policy, regulatory directives, public health program planning and management (including human resources and financial management), and the design and evaluation of public health services/functions. Content includes strategies for ensuring access to essential public health services and use of evaluation and monitoring systems to ensure the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of local public health programs/systems. Course emphasizes leadership, communication, systems thinking, data-driven decision making, and ethical practice in public health systems. Offered by Hlth Admin, Policy/Informatics .
