Current Issues in Health Policy. 3 credits

Catalog description

Introduces students to current health policy issues, the public policy process, and their influence on the organization and financing of health care. Attention is given to the 1) roles of key players in health policy formulation and implementation, and 2) public policy responses to major issues such as disparities and un-insurance coverage, cost-containment, and quality of care.
