Theory and methods for remote sensing features and phenomenon comprising the Earth system. Topics include surface and atmospheric information retrieval, radiation budgets, atmospheric gas detection, mapping the cryosphere, measurements of vegetation and biomass, soil moisture, and precipitation. Focus on satellite-based systems, with applications to both passive and active sensor systems. Offered by Geography/Geoinformation Sci . Limited to three attempts.
