Catalog description

Synthesize measurement theories and principles as a foundation for the development and evaluation of instruments for use in public health and healthcare research. The course includes review of statistical techniques required for understanding measurement theory, reliability, validity, responsiveness, item analysis, and instrument construction. Students design, construct, administer, analyze, and evaluate an original instrument and evaluate an existing instrument in healthcare research. Offered by Global and Community Health . May not be repeated for credit.
