Catalog description

Provides deepened understanding of theories and strategies for health equity. Familiarizes students with the intersection of social justice and public health, and the role of research and theory in shaping research questions, interpretations of disease distribution, and interventions. Equips students with the essential skills and knowledge to develop theory-informed research questions, identify and understand socially patterned health inequities within populations, confront historical and modern-day injustices, and tackle relevant issues shaping the public health field today by delving into social justice principles, problems, and solutions. Offered by Global and Community Health . May not be repeated for credit.
