This course is built on the GBUS 760 : Foundations of AI for Business course, which lays the foundational conceptual literacy around AI systems work. This GBUS 761 course focuses on how to work with AI systems in practice. Students will develop hands-on fluency with the tools, platforms, and workflows that power real-world AI applications without requiring programming experience. The course is organized around three interconnected themes. First, students will gain practical experience with modern AI tools, platforms, and application programming interfaces (APIs), learning how these services are accessed and orchestrated in business contexts. Second, students will master advanced prompting strategies, including system prompts, retrieval- augmented generation (RAG), chained prompts, and context engineering to interact with AI systems more effectively and produce higher-quality outputs. Third, students will design and build no-code and low-code AI-powered workflows, applying their skills tOffered by SBUS Multidisciplinary. May not be repeated for credit.
