Advanced Machine Learning for Business Applications. 3 credits

Catalog description

This course will continue with machine learning techniques as a progression from MBA/ GBUS 738 , but with a particular focus on neural networks, text mining, time series, and deep learning. Students will use an industry-prominent state-of-the-art analytics environment and focus on interpretation of the results for decision-making. Students will complete a semester-long group project using a real-world “messy” dataset working on data wrangling, transformations, imputations, descriptive statistics, and multiple machine learning methods.Offered by SBUS Multidisciplinary. May not be repeated for credit. Equivalent to MBA 739 .
