Introduction to the pathology and physiology of the human body with an emphasis on scientific and medical terminology, in addition to the various techniques used in medicolegal death investigation. Discussion of death scene analysis, autopsy procedures, and unidentified remains. Overview of the role of the medical examiner’s office within the United States and an introduction to the forensic investigation of sudden and unexpected deaths, including homicides, suicides, accidents, accidental deaths, and various traumatic deaths.Offered by Forensic Sciences. May not be repeated for credit.
