Catalog description

Studies nature, distribution, and interaction of toxic chemicals released into environment. Topics include acute, subchronic, and chronic toxicity testing; uptake, distribution and metabolism of toxins as well as their distribution in the environment. Emphasizes effects on nonhuman biota, detection and fate of chemicals, and includes discussion of implications for government regulation. Offered by Environmental Science & Policy . May not be repeated for credit. Equivalent to BIOL 745 .
