Provides understanding of microbes and their function as a vital part of an environmental education. The role of microbes is central to many environmental issues such as climate change, biodegradation of toxics, wastewater treatment and drinking water contamination. Course provides an introduction to the breadth of microbiology including essential information for students studying environmental problems and their solution. Notes: Laboratory section ( EVPP 306 ) is a corequisite unless previously completed. Offered by Environmental Science & Policy . Limited to three attempts.
