Students examine how design decisions shape communities, how digital systems reflect the assumptions of their creators, and how engineering excellence requires understanding the people it serves. Emphasizes human-centered design, stakeholder analysis, engineering ethics, and collaborative problem-solving. Culminates in a team-based design project addressing a real community challenge.
