Intensive study and practice in communicating about technical, scientific, and/or specialized topics in accessible and usable ways. Emphasizes writing within various professional or organizational contexts, writing for a variety of audiences, and communicating in globalized work environments. Prepares students for careers in business, media, science, psychology, advocacy, engineering, computer science, non-profit organizations, and others. Introduces students to critical analysis of communication technologies and practices to understand the impact of writing in nonacademic settings. Offered by English . Limited to three attempts.
