Provides research-based introduction to literacy teaching and learning for elementary children. Emphasizes encoding and writing development; writing assessment; and writing instruction. Addresses writing with exceptional learners; digital literacy; and the creation of a literacy instructional block. Note: School-based field experience required.Offered by School of Education.
