Addresses contemporary initiatives in special education and disability research: those introductory and leading actions intended to implement positive change, that can be promoted by federal agencies, professional or advocacy organizations. Focuses on understanding of policy-driven special education initiatives in special education and disability research through evaluation and analysis. Discusses and studies background, relevant legislative history, existing empirical evidence, and designing future research addressing contemporary initiatives.Offered by School of Education.
