Examines literacy theory, research, and practice as it relates to children in order for school psychologists to effectively work with teachers and families to improve students’ literacy learning. Includes reading, writing, and oral communication. Addresses sociocultural, cognitive, linguistic, psychological, and developmental influences on literacy.
