Catalog description

Provides an understanding of the legal foundations of U.S. public schools and higher education through examination of general principles of statutory and case law and application of judicial decisions to educational environments. Focuses on legal responsibilities, constraints, and opportunities of public school officials and requires students conduct research regarding legal issues and apply legal analysis and reasoning to a variety of situations.Offered by School of Education.
