Examines perspectives and understandings of assessment as related to gifted learners including assessment for identification and curricular assessment. Explores and critiques traditional roles of intelligence assessments as means for gifted evaluation. Develops advanced understandings of assessment practices and fosters awareness of the influences of language, culture, ethnicity, gender, and exceptionality on recognition and subsequent identification of giftedness.Offered by School of Education.
