Introduces VLSI design of application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) from front-end to back-end using HDL and modern design automation software. Covers simulation, synthesis of digital circuits using standard cells, static timing analysis, formal verification, power analysis, test generation/fault simulation, and physical design including floor planning, placement, routing, and design rule checking.
