Catalog description

This course covers the principle, design, control, and application of power electronics in modern power systems. Topics include modeling and design of power electronics circuits, such as rectifiers, converters, and inverters; analysis and design of magnetic components and filters; application of power electronics in grid interface of renewable energy resources, electric machine control systems, aircrafts, HVDC and FACTS; computer simulation of power electronics and motor drives; and practical issues in power electronic devices.
