Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth exploration of power system analysis and stability, focusing on modern grid operation and dynamic system behavior. Topics include enhanced power flow modeling, economic dispatch, symmetrical and asymmetrical fault analysis, transient and small-signal stability, and dynamic response of power networks. Students will use power system simulation tools to analyze system behavior under steady-state and dynamic conditions. Emphasis is placed on real-world applications, case studies, and advanced computational methods to prepare students for careers in power system engineering, research, and grid modernization. Offered by Electrical & Comp. Engineering . May not be repeated for credit.
