The objective of the course is for students to learn valuable skills related to their major through an internship. Internships provide work experience that many future employers prefer before hiring a recent engineering graduate. Internships also provide a pathway for meaningful connections to others working in the chosen field of study and associated fields, while also providing avenues for personal growth, such as the opportunity to solve real-world problems, conduct research, and improve oral and written communication skills.
