Catalog description

This course comprehensively introduces generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), focusing on their applications in cybersecurity engineering disciplines. The course addresses critical integrating topics, such as data and model security, adversarial attacks and defenses, and privacy considerations in generative AI systems. Applications of generative AI in cyber security engineering, such as system optimization and anomaly detection, will be highlighted through hands-on projects and case studies. Students will gain practical experience developing and implementing generative AI models to solve real-world cybersecurity engineering problems. A strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistics, as well as prior knowledge of essential machine learning, is required. Python will be used for most assignments and projects. Offered by Cyber Security Engineering . Limited to two attempts.
