Catalog description

This is the second part of a two semester sequence intended for students with little or no programming experience, which introduces the field of Computer Science as well as the basics of programming commensurate with a first course in programming. CS 109 follows CS 108 with coverage of procedural programming appropriate for a first course in programming. The course begins with a review of expressions, control structures, and functions. Further topics include testing and debugging, multidimensional lists, mutability and references, file input/output, data types, recursion, exceptions, and basics of classes and objects. Offered by Computer Science . Limited to two attempts.
