This course provides students with scholarly, practical, and relevant knowledge of Genocide and Atrocity Prevention. Students will analyze genocide and mass-atrocities as part of a spectrum of violence and conflict, and gain expertise in prevention mechanisms, including: early warning indicators, early prevention strategies, diplomacy, international justice, legal infrastructures, negotiation, mediation, humanitarian relief and intervention, civilian protection, and civil society-based solutions. Offered by Conflict Analysis & Resolution . May not be repeated for credit.
