This course offers an integration of theory, research and practice to provide a foundation for understanding conflicts across interpersonal, organizational, community, inter-group, national and international scales. The course investigates conflict theories, lenses, models, strategies, and modes of practice that function as a grounding for subsequent courses in the curriculum and explores some of the key contemporary debates in the field. The course includes opportunities for learning practical skills, introducing conflict analytics, theories of change, assessments, and approaches to research and evaluation.
