Catalog description

This course is a continuation of COMP 503 , with an emphasis on systems programming. This course focuses on programming that interacts with the management and creation of processes, handles exceptions and signals, and interacts with files at the systems level. This course introduces the concept of concurrency and discusses operating system support for processes, focusing on memory management, libraries, and secure programming. Offered by Computer Science . May not be repeated for credit.
