This course is a continuation of COMP 502 , giving students further education on the discrete nature of computation and its relationship to symbolic processing, through a continued use of the formulation and proof of theorems. Topics include second-order logic, mathematical inference, automata theory, regular and context-free languages, computational complexity, incompleteness, and undecidability. Offered by Computer Science . Limited to three attempts.
