Catalog description
A one-semester lecture and lab course in analytical chemistry (elementary quantitative analysis in chemistry) emphasizing the principles of ionic equilibria emphasizing acid-base, complexation, solubility, and redox reactions. This course also introduces the concepts of spectroscopic, electrochemical, and chromatographic instrumentation techniques used in chemical analysis. The lab consists of gravimetric, volumetric, and instrumental methods illustrating principal types of quantitative determinations. Offered by Chemistry . Limited to three attempts.
