Emerging Infectious Diseases. 3 credits

Catalog description

Students will gain an understanding of the pathogenesis of emerging and/or re-emerging infectious diseases in terms of immune response and systemic alterations. Factors contributing to emergence and virulence for each pathogen will be emphasized. Epidemiology, disease progression, treatment strategies and/or control measures of identified emerging infectious diseases will be discussed. Offered by School of Systems Biology .
