Catalog description

This course will introduce students to emerging and current research areas in Bioengineering within a course format. Students will develop specialized research skills, which will also involve the presentation of their own work, developed individually or in teams. It will prepare students to undertake their individual research topics as they progress towards their own dissertation research. The course is intended to be taken before students defend their dissertation proposal and advance to candidacy. Relevant reading materials will be assigned before each class, and the class time will be used for discussing the research topics as well as for guest lectures highlighting new frontiers of Bioengineering. Offered by Bioengineering . May not be repeated for credit.
