Presents interdisciplinary scientific and engineering approaches to solve relevant medical problems. Contents include polymer structure, composition, and material properties, natural and synthetic polymers, and their application to design novel nanocarriers for controlled drug release, scaffolds for tissue engineering, and new vectors for vaccines.
