Catalog description
This course will introduce commonly used numerical methods for solving problems in bioengi-neering. These methods include mathematical modeling, linear algebraic equations, numerical opti-mization, linear regression, recursive algorithms, greedy algorithms, probability, and Matlab/Octave programming. Several case studies will be used to demonstrate the applications of these methods. Students will also work on a class project to practice using these methods to solve their own research problems. Offered by Bioengineering . May not be repeated for credit.
