The course covers laboratory techniques in molecular and cellular engineering, such as Good Laboratory Practices according to industry standards, maintaining a laboratory notebook, equipment logbooks, NIST-traceable standards, use of statistics and a standard curve to calculate the concentration of an unknown, sensitivity of a laboratory assay, biomaterial-DNA interactions, imaging of cells and signal processing, interpreting data and writing a scientific report.
